Good place to go in the middle east?

Question

I would like to go on a vacation for like a week or two. What's good and safe place to go to in the middle east where Islam is practiced? I was thinking Egypt or Turkey. Also something not too expensive pls.

Saudi Arabia is a very nice place to visit.

If you are travel ling alone (of without men) then I would say either Turkey or Lebanon. If you have a man with you then definitely Jordan. There you have Amman which is a beautiful city and many sights like Petra and the dead sea. Turkey has it's charm but in big cities there are a lot of thieves and you have to be very careful. Lebanon has beautiful sights and I just went there at Christmas Beirut+surroundings and very nice. Egypt is very extreme towards women in many places + dangerous due to kidnappings and bombs. Also again without men you are limited on staying in resorts or Cairo/Alexandria only unless you don't mind having guys harassing you.

Egypt, Lebanon, & Oman, they're very beautiful & not too expensive. UAE (Especially Dubai) is awesome, but rather expensive.



Islam is practiced in almost all of the Middle Eastern countries. But you may consider Kuwait. They have a good place called the Aware center, it does very good job in introducing the Islamic culture to westerners. Other good place in Kuwait is the War Museum. Many VIPs visited that museum & wrote their complements in its guests’ book.

Well they did not precisely have airplanes again then, so persons touring from external the core east could have taken decades to get there. Absolutely Egypt, my grandma just went there and loved it. And felt quite safe. She’s planning a trip to Israel in 2009. People in Egypt are very friendly and open-minded, just respect culture and try to speak a little Arabic. They will appreciate it!

I think that egypt and turkey are not safe .. Specially turkey ..

Gulf countries are the best Specially Qatar .. it's one of the safest countries ..

Israel!!!! i love it there. it is so pretty. but don't go to the gaza strip. that's where the war is. i think. go to tel aviv, jerusalem, or elat.
